The College & Career Competencies Project, in partnership with the Arizona Department of Education/Exceptional Student Services, supports Arizona educators by providing FREE professional development and training opportunities for systematically embedding intrapersonal and interpersonal competencies into course content to help students become career-equipped, life-long learners. Here are some upcoming training opportunities:
- Building Confidence and Persistence Through Self-Efficacy Instruction
Tuesday, February 3, 2026, noon–3:00 p.m. Arizona time,

This 3-hour virtual training is designed for educators who provide individualized instruction and support to students. During the training, participants will learn what self-efficacy is, strategies for helping students improve their confidence and persistence, and the 5-step intervention process for providing self-efficacy instruction, monitoring student progress, and assessing student growth in self-efficacy. - Increasing Students Self-Regulation Through Instruction and Practice (K–12)

This interactive 45-minute webinar will provide you with an overview of the free self-regulation curriculum. The curriculum includes instructional activities, assessments, and family resources to support students in developing self-regulation. - Self-Efficacy Hybrid Course
Tuesday, January 22, 2026, 8:30–11:30 a.m. Arizona time
This course offers both in-person support and self-guided study for special education teachers in grades K–12. Explore ten different Self-Efficacy Strategies and instructional activities that help students develop and practice self-efficacy.
